Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched a Rs20 billion Ramadan package on March 1, 2025, aimed at supporting 4 million deserving families across Pakistan—benefiting approximately 20 million people.
Here’s a detailed guide on how you can avail this relief package during the holy month of Ramadan:
What is the Ramadan Package?
- Financial Aid: Each eligible family will receive Rs5,000 through digital wallets.
- Subsidized Sugar: 600 stalls at the tehsil level will offer sugar at Rs130 per kilogram.
- Coverage: The package targets 4 million families nationwide, from Karachi to Gilgit, ensuring equitable distribution across all provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
- Timeline: Relief will be distributed within the first 10 days of Ramadan 2025.
Who is Eligible?
- The package is designed for “deserving families,” typically identified through existing welfare programs like the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and data from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
- Families already registered with BISP or similar government poverty alleviation programs are likely prioritized.
How to Avail the Package

- No need to stand in queues—funds will be credited automatically within the first 10 days of Ramadan.
- Keep your registered mobile number active to receive notifications about the transfer.
