The vote of no-confidence against Prime Minister Imran Khan has concluded in line with the Supreme Court’s verdict on Sunday. PTI leader Imran Khan has lost the no-confidence vote with PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq chairing the Session of the National Assembly.
National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri had stepped down from their position after the Opposition submitted a no-trust motion against them. The position was taken over by the former Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq.
“174 members have recorded their votes in favor of the resolution, consequently the resolution for the vote on no-confidence against Mr. Imran Khan, the prime minister of Pakistan, has been passed by a majority,” said Ayaz Sadiq after the voting process had finished.
