Pakistan faced a complete Internet outage as Internet services went down across the country at 7 am on Friday (19th August 2022).

According to the details, The Internet outage in Pakistan started at 7 am in morning before working hours, Major Internet Service Providers such as (Pakistan Telecommunication Limited) PTCL, Stormfiber backed by Cybernet, Ufone, and Mobilink Jazz went down.
There was no report on the mainstream media channels about the Internet outage in Pakistan which directly affects the Banking system across Pakistan.
At around 9:15 am, Mobilink Jazz was restored, however, PTCL, Stormfiber, Nayatel and other Internet Service providers are still down.
Stormfiber, Nayatel and PTCL helpline numbers turned off completely. Only Mobilink Jazz working properly for now and other services are affected due to the outage nationwide.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority Updated on social media, As reported by PTCL, issue has been reported in data networks between South and North which is causing internet connectivity issues. This issue is being investigated. PTA is monitoring the situation and further updates will be shared.
Due to multiple fiber cuts, voice and data services in Kech, Panjgoor,Gwadar and adjoining areas have been impacted, The services of three cellular mobile operators (Telenor, Zong & Ufone) and PTCL have been affected due to flash floods and rain.
The Restoration work is underway. PTA is working with the concerned operators for an early restoration of affected communication channels. – PTA
