The district administration of Islamabad has clarified that no blanket notices were issued to hotels and wedding halls across the city regarding the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. According to the administration, only establishments located on Club Road have been notified.
As part of the security arrangements for the summit, wedding halls and hotels on Club Road have been instructed not to host public functions during the summit days. The decision is aimed at ensuring safety and maintaining order during the high-profile event.
The administration’s spokesperson further explained that the affected venues were asked to limit their activities due to security concerns. Officials are in close contact with the management of these hotels and wedding halls, and any restrictions will only apply to those receiving official notices.
This measure is specific to venues on the summit route to facilitate smooth proceedings and security for the SCO summit in Islamabad.
