Islamabad Can issue Driving Licenses to Anyone Nationwide

The government has introduced a new plan to make it easier to get a driving license. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi says now the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) can issue driving licenses to people from all over the country. This means anyone can get a license from Islamabad, no matter where they live.

Another important aspect of this initiative is that all permits for tinted car windows have been cancelled. This shows the government’s commitment to road safety. Minister Naqvi emphasized the need for transparency and compliance with traffic rules.

To make getting a license easier, special programs are set up for different groups. Under these programs, students at colleges and universities will have their licenses sent directly to their schools. Meanwhile, senior citizens in Islamabad can get their licenses at home, which makes it more convenient.

The government is also making efforts to improve how traffic is managed. They have started programs like the Islamabad Traffic Police Facilitation on Wheels and the Islamabad Traffic Police Education on Wheels. These programs include mobile offices and vans that teach people about traffic rules. This shows the government wants to make it easier for everyone to get a license and learn about road safety.

Furthermore, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has also launched an online service for people who are applying for driving licenses to make the process simpler and more convenient. Moreover, citizens can also obtain driving license renewals using the online system.
