The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced the closure of all hiking trails in Islamabad for the March 23 (Pakistan Day) parade.
According to the notification, the Islamabad authorities stated that hiking trails 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 will remain closed to the public from March 19th to March 23rd from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm for Pakistan Day parade preparations.
These hiking trails will be reopened for the general public after the March 23 parade. In the meantime, the CDA has requested that the public comply with the decision and avoid any inconvenience by staying off hiking trails 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
The Pakistan Day parade preparations are in full swing, and the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a detailed traffic plan as well to avoid any untoward incidents and ensure a smooth flow of traffic on March 23rd. Furthermore, the authorities have banned the entry of heavy vehicles to the Federal Capital at certain times of the day until the parade.
