Islamabad Couple Harassment Case: Usman Mirza and 4 Others sentenced to life imprisonment

ISLAMABAD: The additional sessions Judge Atta Rabbani sentenced Usman Mirza and four others to life imprisonment and acquitted two accomplices in the Islamabad couple harassment case.

The Session Judge questioned one of the accused, Farhan Shaheen, on whether he was present when the incident took place, To this Mr. Shaheen replied ‘no’ and said “I am innocent and I was not present at the place of incident.”

After the hearing, the judge awarded life imprisonment to Usman Mirza, Hafiz Atta ur Rehman, Adaras Qayyum Butt, Farhan Shaheen, and Mohib Bangash.

The Islamabad couple harassment case took a turn in January when the couple no longer wanted to pursue the harassment case against Usman Mirza as the female victim retracted her statement against the accused.

However, Justice prevailed and finally, the culprit were sent to jail.

The video went viral the last year when Usman Mirza along with his gang violently thrashed and harassed the Islamabad couple and forced them to strrip naked in front of everyone while filming the entire incident and used to the footage to blackmail the couple and extort money from them.
