The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has launched an innovative program to deliver driving licenses directly to the doorsteps of residents using modern technology.
Under the leadership of Islamabad Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and SSP Traffic Sarfraz Work, three specially equipped vehicles have been deployed to assist with the issuance and renewal of driving licenses, learner permits, and replacement licenses across Islamabad.
These vehicles are outfitted with modern facilities such as two counters, laptops, UPS backup, a generator, and a printing system, ensuring efficient and hassle-free processing for applicants.
The initiative is particularly aimed at special groups, including students of federal educational institutions, colleges, universities, visitors to public parks, persons with disabilities, and individuals over 70 years old, offering them convenient access to essential driving documents.
Many residents of Islamabad have already benefited from this service, with the Driving Facilitation Center van stationed at Abpara Market being especially popular among applicants.
Those who have used the doorstep service have expressed their satisfaction, highlighting the importance of expanding such initiatives throughout the capital to meet increasing demand.
Mohammad Nawis, Islamabad Traffic Police PRO, outlined plans for further improving the service, including public awareness campaigns to educate citizens about the advantages of this innovative approach.
