The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a public holiday in Islamabad on Monday (20 December 2021) due to the security of various delegations of the 17th Extra-Ordinary OIC Session who will be departing to their country.

The announcement was made in a notification issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad. “During meeting held at the Foreign Office at 1030 hours on 15th December 2021, it was decided to declare Monday, December, 20, 2021 as holiday in Islamabad due to movement and security of various delegations of 17th Extra-Ordinary Session who will be departing to their countries.” said the notification.

It is pertinent to mention that authorities in Rawalpindi have also announced that educational institutions in the city, including schools, colleges and universities will remain closed on 18 December 2021 on account of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers Conference.

Therefore, the authorities in Islamabad have announced a Public Holiday on Monday (20 December 2021) due to movement and security of the delegations leaving and going back to their home country.
