UPDATE: Amid the current situation in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, residents are urged to avoid unnecessary travel. Here are the key updates:

School Closures: All schools within the Islamabad jurisdiction are closed. Please confirm with your institution for specific details.
Road Closures:
- 26 No. has been closed with only one lane open. Containers have been spotted near Taxila, positioned along the sides.
- Express Chowk (near D-Chowk) and NADRA Chowk have been closed by Islamabad police, with containers being placed to obstruct traffic. Reports also suggest container placement near the Marriot.
Section 144 Imposed: Punjab has imposed Section 144, restricting public gatherings.
Internet Connectivity: There is a high chance of slowed internet connectivity, which may affect Google Maps. Do not rely entirely on it for navigation.
Traffic at Faizabad/Expressway: Contrary to some reports, no closures are planned for Faizabad/Expressway at this time.
PTI Jalsa:
- PTI has announced a jalsa at 4 PM today at Tarnol Chowk, Peshawar Road. Containers are likely to be placed around the area later in the evening unless the event is called off. The NOC has been cancelled.
- Rallies are expected to leave Peshawar after 12 PM, leading to potential congestion on Motorway & GT Road.
Supreme Court Hearing:
- The Mubarak Sani case is scheduled for hearing at the Supreme Court today. Rallies are expected to reach the Red Zone area by 8 AM, which will likely cause significant traffic disruptions.
Metro Bus Service: The service will be suspended tomorrow in the twin cities, affecting the route from Saddar to Pak Secretariat stations.

All roads, except those with temporary blockages due to team movements, remain open until September 3rd, 2024. Please plan your journeys accordingly to minimize inconvenience.
