Four more streets have been sealed as part of the Islamabad smart lockdown due to the rising number of coronavirus cases being reported in the capital.
Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shaqfaat took to Twitter informing details of the Islamabad Smart Lockdown stating that Street 18 or F-6/2, Street 1 of F-6/3, Street 55 of F-10/4 and Street 17 of I-10/2 have been sealed for 10 days starting 31st of October.
Islamabad reported 224 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours according to the District Health Office Surveillance Cell.
Furthermore, the deputy commissioner has made it mandatory to wear face masks in public while leaving the house and warned that anyone found in violation can be arrested by police.

Interestingly, a journalist on Twitter pointed out that DC Islamabad was not wearing a face mask himself when he was out in public and surrounded by several people.
Hamza Shafqaat responded to the journalist saying that he will be imposing a fine of Rs. 1,000 on himself and submitting it to the government’s account and posting the receipt online as confirmation.
