In response to the Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Dharna on July 26, 2024, the Islamabad administration has put a traffic diversion plan into action. Citizens are encouraged to use alternative routes to minimize inconvenience.

The details of the diversions are as follows:
Traffic Diversion Plan:
- Murree Road Diversion:
- All citizens should use the Muree Expressway and avoid Murree Road.
- Peshawar Road Diversion:
- All citizens should use IJP Road and avoid Peshawar Road.
- GT Road Diversion:
- Citizens coming to Islamabad should use GT Road and Motorway via G-14.
- Rawal Dam Diversion:
- Avoid using Rawal Dam Road. Use alternative routes.
- Faizabad Diversion:
- Avoid using Faizabad and Murree Road. Use alternative routes.
- Airport Road Diversion:
- Avoid using Airport Road and use Expressway instead.
- 17-Meel Diversion:
- Citizens coming from GT Road to Islamabad should use 17-Meel Road.
- Tarnol Diversion:
- Avoid using Tarnol and use the motorway through Sangjani Interchange.
