Islamabad Traffic Diversion Plan 26 July 2024

In response to the Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Dharna on July 26, 2024, the Islamabad administration has put a traffic diversion plan into action. Citizens are encouraged to use alternative routes to minimize inconvenience.

The details of the diversions are as follows:

Traffic Diversion Plan:

1. Murree Road Diversion:
   • All citizens should use the Muree Expressway and avoid Murree Road.
2. Peshawar Road Diversion:
   • All citizens should use IJP Road and avoid Peshawar Road.
3. GT Road Diversion:
   • Citizens coming to Islamabad should use GT Road and Motorway via G-14.
4. Rawal Dam Diversion:
   • Avoid using Rawal Dam Road. Use alternative routes.
5. Faizabad Diversion:
   • Avoid using Faizabad and Murree Road. Use alternative routes.
6. Airport Road Diversion:
   • Avoid using Airport Road and use Expressway instead.
7. 17-Meel Diversion:
   • Citizens coming from GT Road to Islamabad should use 17-Meel Road.
8. Tarnol Diversion:
   • Avoid using Tarnol and use the motorway through Sangjani Interchange.
