All Banks to remain open up to midnight today

KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has directed all the banks to keep the doors of their branches open today (Sunday) across the country to resolve issues pertaining to candidates aspiring to contest upcoming general elections.

The windows of the banks, which deal with credit information, would remain open from 8:00AM to 12:00 midnight Sunday to issue clearance certificates to the candidates who have cleared their dues.

The SBP further stated that the election contesting candidates could also clear their dues on Sunday.

The bank would remain open only to resolve issues of contesting candidates and not for general public.
