ISLAMABAD: The anti-encroachment teams constituted by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for strict vigilance and removal of newly cropped up encroachments during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays have conducted several operations and razed illegal structures.
The said actions against the encroachers were conducted at Murree road, Bara Kahu, Lake View Park, Play Land near Zoo, Fasil Mosque and inside the Katchi Abadi of sector G-6/2.

A primary focus of these actions were to remove encroachments from the Right of Way (ROW) of the main roads leading towards the Murree and other reactional sites of the city to ensure the smooth flow of traffic on this eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.
People along with their families visit different recreational spots in Murree, faces severe traffic jam in Bhara Kau during Eid holidays as the encroachers establishes their stalls on both sides of the Murree Road.

However, under a prudent strategy devised by the city managers, anti-encroachment teams with the cooperation of District Administration and Islamabad Police have not only removed these encroachments but also ensured smooth flow of traffic between Islamabad and Murree.
During the operations, goods comprised upon around 12 trucks were also confiscated by CDA teams. It is pertinent to mention here that the Authority had strictly warned everybody from doing encroachment alongside the main roads on Eid days.
Meanwhile, special teams of CDA remained vigilant to curtail fresh illegal constructions in Katchi Abadis and razed a newly built illegal house near Post Office in Sector G-7.

These anti-encroachment teams have ensured effective monitoring of areas cleared from encroachment and responded for removal of new encroachments during the Eid holidays.
Road to and fro Murree is clear. There is a slight choking near Lake View Park. We have again taken against encroachments so that traffic moves smoothly. We don’t want to bother the poor hawkers but unfortunately their carelessness on roads causes huge issue with the traffic.
