DIG Tahir Alam takes additional charge of IG Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – The political unrest worsens as ‎Islamabad Inspector General  ( IG Police ) was changed once again, and ‎Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Tahir Alam from Sindh was ‎assigned the additional charge of Islamabad IG after the charge ‎was taken back from IG Khalid Khattak.

According to sources, this additional charge was given to DIG ‎Alam after several other Islamabad officers declined to take the ‎position by excusing themselves from the post. ‎

DIG Alam was directed to report to Punjab two days ago by the ‎federal government.
