ISLAMABAD , ECP : The scrutiny of nomination papers of 7‚609 National and Provincial Assemblies’ candidates has been completed by the Election Commission so far.
These included 2‚765 for the National Assembly and 4‚844 for Provincial Assembly. 1100 nomination papers have been uploaded on Election Commission’s website.
The Election Commission will complete the scrutiny on the April 7 and appeals could be filed by April 10th. against decisions of the Returning Officers.
The Election Tribunals will decide the appeals by 17th of this month while the candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nominations by 18th of this month.
Final list of contesting candidates will be published on 19th of this month and polling will be held on May 11th.
