ISLAMABAD: Life in Islamabad and Rawalpindi resumed its usual pace on Monday as authorities removed containers from all entry and exit points, restoring normal traffic flow and public transportation services across both cities.
Key routes, including the M1 and M2 motorways, are now fully operational, allowing smooth travel for commuters. The Srinagar Highway, which leads to Islamabad International Airport, is also open, easing access for passengers and airport staff.

In addition, major junctions such as Rawat T Chowk, Khanna Pul, Faizabad, Murree Road, and 26 Number Chungi are open for traffic. While there might be slight congestion due to containers still positioned on the roadsides, the overall situation has significantly improved, bringing relief to daily commuters.
Adding to the return of normalcy, the Metro Bus service is once again operational in the twin cities, providing a convenient transportation option for residents.
