Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) has launched its services through WhatsApp for the residents of Islamabad in order to provide a more efficient service to the residents of the capital.
The WhatsApp service enables Islamabad residents to lodge complaints with Islamabad Police through WhatsApp number 0334-287-428-7 (033-ICTP-ICTP).

The announcement about Islamabad Police WhatsApp service was made by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Ahsan Younus on their official Twitter handle. “In order to make our services more easily accessible for the citizens, Islamabad Police is issuing its WhatsApp number.” he said in the video message.
“The citizens can register themselves with our number 0334-2874287 which is 0334-ICTP-ICTP, by sending a simple hi/hello,” the IGP said, adding that once the citizens send a message to Islamabad Police WhatsApp number, they will be greeted by a menu of options.

IGP Younus said that Islamabad Police WhatsApp service will enable residents to easily contact the police regarding any service. Furthermore, the services are available in English and Urdu.
