ISLAMABAD: The mystery surrounding the woman found in the vicinity of Aabpara police station has been clarified by the authorities. According to initial police findings, the woman, identified as Farwa Kayani, is a resident of Rawalpindi and not a foreign national, as previously speculated.
The incident took place on August 14th when the woman was discovered on the streets of Sector G-6. Following the incident, a special committee was formed under the supervision of SSP Operations to thoroughly investigate the matter.
In a statement, Islamabad Police confirmed, “At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that the woman is a foreign national. The investigation is ongoing, and all procedures are being closely monitored by the senior command of Islamabad Police.” The police further emphasized that the public should refrain from speculation and allow the investigation to proceed without interference.
Farwa Kayani, daughter of Sultan Fareed Kayani, resides in Mehmood Asif Mall Scheme, Khalid Road, Rawalpindi. On the scene, locals initially mistook her for a foreigner and attempted to communicate with her in English, further fueling the confusion.
The authorities have assured the public that they will share progress and details of the investigation as they become available, urging everyone to rely on official information.
