Non-bailable arrest warrant of ex OGRA head issued

The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrant of former chairman OGRA Tauqeer Sadiq. The apex court also sought report of issuance of two passports to Tauqeer Sadiq from FIA.

An apex court bench led by Justice Jawad S Khawaja heard OGRA implementation case.

Justice Khajawa directed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate the issuance of two passports to Sadiq, and also take action to cancel one of his passport.

During the hearing, Additional IG Punjab told the court that a police team had also went to Nepal to arrest former OGRA chairman. The AIG said that no record available of Sadiq’s departure to abroad from any airport.

Justice Khawaja remarked that one person looted 82 billion rupees and escaped and his record was not available.

The court adjourned hearing of the case till Thursday (tomorrow).
