The Ministry of Interior unveiled a new policy that will no longer issue passports to its nationals seeking asylum in other countries. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that this decision was made due to concerns about national security and safety.
According to this policy, Pakistani citizens who have already been granted asylum in any country will be ineligible to receive a Pakistani passport. Furthermore, passports that have already been issued to these individuals will be revoked, and no new ones will be provided.
The Ministry of Interior has instructed all relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to enforce this policy.
This new regulation is expected to significantly impact Pakistani nationals seeking asylum abroad, as it will make it more difficult for them to travel and access essential services.
