PTA receives a bid of spectrum auction from Telenor

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has received a single bid from M/s Telenor for the spectrum auction of Next Generation Mobile Services(NGMS) in Pakistan by the deadline of 1600 hrs on June 1, 2016. This is being carried out in the light of procedure, requirements and criteria laid down in the Information Memorandum (IM).

It may also be added that in accordance with the timelines of the auction process, an information session was previously
held on May 23, 2016, with the prospective bidders, which included Mobilink, Telenor, World Call & Multinet.

PTA completed this procedure in an open and transparent manner, which was in line with the policy directive of the Ministry of IT & Telecom and the rules of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA).
