ISLAMABAD: The Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor hasrequested Pakistan Government to preserve his ancestral home in Peshawar. Thegovernment of Pakistan has made a decision. Rishi Kapoor’s Peshawar ancestralhome will become a museum soon.
The Kapoor family Haveli is located in Peshawar’s Qissa Khwani Bazar. As reported by Indian Express, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has given a statement. He has said that the Government of Pakistan will convert the Kapoor Haveli into a museum.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi while speaking to visiting Indian journalists said:
“There was a call from Rishi Kapoor. He requested
tha his family’s home in Peshawar should be made into a museum or some sort of institution. We have accepted his request.”

The request received from Rishi Kapoor has been accepted and soon the Government of Pakistan will work on a plan to convert theKapoor Haveli into a museum.
Interior Minister Shehryar Afridi has also shared the Bollywood actor telephoned him. The actor requested that his family home be preserved by the Pakistan Government. The interior minister said:
“He had called me and talked about making his ancestral home into a museum. Now the federal and provincial governments are working on this and will will transform the house into a museum soon
The Kapoor Haveli was built by Basheswarnath Kapoor, the father of Bollywood icon Prithviraj Kapoor.
