ISLAMABAD: Law enforcement Agencies (LEA) directed to seal Shahzad Town and Rimsha Colony (H-9 Sector) in Islamabad after confirmed reports of infected individuals with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) reported from respective areas on Thursday.
Islamabad Police, Rangers, and Pakistan Army are requested to cordon off both the areas immediately to ensure public safety.
The notification issued by District Magistrate Islamabad Capital Territory (IICT) earlier today.

The notification read “Pursuant to the recent confirmed reports of individuals infected with Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) residing in Rimsha Colony, H-9, Islamabad and Shahzad Town, Islamabad the entire area falling in these localities are hereby sealed with forthwith exercise of power conferred under Epidemic Disease Act (1958), in large public interest and to prevent widespread outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Moreover, Islamabad Police, Rangers and Pakistan Army are requested to cordon off above mentioned area to ensure the public safety.”
LEA earlier cordon off and sealed Bara Kahu area which is now partially open for public after medical staff carried out coronavirus tests and examined them.

So far, Grocery stores, Medical Stores, Bakeries, Milk Shops, Meat Shops, and Banks are open in Islamabad, However, general public is not allowed in public places due to 144 Section imposed last week.
