ISLAMABAD: The joint investigation team (JIT) has started their probe into the murder of 22-year-old Usama Satti, who was killed in an alleged police encounter on Saturday.
According to the details provided by ARY News, the JIT has recorded statements of the policemen involved in the alleged murder of the Islamabad youngster. The accused claim that they took action after report of a robbery in the area.

The JIT is looking into the cellphone records of the victim as well as details of the wireless call informing the accused policemen of the robbery incident in the area.
Furthermore, the investigative team has sent the spent bullet casings for forensics and a report would be received by Friday revealing more details into the incident.
Moreover, the JIT also recorded statements of the first responders to the scene. The team is also looking into the footages of the safe city cameras to get a clear picture about what went down on the highway on the night of the incident.
The joint investigation team will meet again on Friday, where it would record statement of the complainant and their witnesses.
It is pertinent to mention that the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad Amir Ahmed Ali has also constituted a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe the death of Usama Satti in the alleged staged police encounter.
SP Saddar Sarfaraz Virk is acting as the head of the JIT while DSP Ramna, DSP Investigation, SHO Ramna Police Station and representatives of the intelligence agencies are part of the team as members.
About the incident
Usama Satti was travelling home late last night when he was asked to stop by Anti-Terrorism Force personnel and his vehicle was shot multiple times when he failed to comply.
The five CTD officers were arrested and a First Information Report (FIR) was registered under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC)
