Justice for Kiran and Maryam – Two teenage sisters were allegedly killed by their father and brother in Lahore in what is being termed as an honor killing by police.
According to the details, both the sisters were found murdered at their home in Gujjarpura area of Lahore on Friday.
Kiran was 17 years of age while her younger sister Maryam was only 16 years old when they were allegedly killed by their father and brother in Lahore according to their elder sister.
The police arrived at the scene when they were informed about the incident and shifted the bodies to the hospital for medical examination while an investigation has been launched into the murders.
According to the police, the elder sister of both victims, Kiran and Maryam, gave a statement saying that she heard the screams of her younger sisters and upon entering the room, she saw that her father and brother killing both of them.
Both of the suspects fled the scene and police are conducting raids to apprehend them for what is being termed as an honor killing incident.
Incidents such as this are becoming increasingly common in Pakistan. A few weeks ago, a mother and daughter were both murdered in Rahim Yar Khan for ‘honor’.
