KARACHI: Negligence of doctors at Darul Sehat Hospital has left a nine-month-old Nashwa paralyzed. People are on streets demanding Justice for Nashwa and asking to boycott Darul Sehat Hospital.
Boycott Darul Sehat Hospital
Nine-month-old Nashwa was taken to Darul Sehat Hospital for the treatment of dehydration & diarrhea.
Qaiser Ali the father of Nashwa said he had taken his twin daughters to Darul Sehat Hospital located in Gulistan-e-Johar for the treatment of
diarrhea.
One of the twins was released the next day, while Nashwa remained in the hospital as her condition did not improve. He claims the wrong treatment by the untrained nursing staff caused her health to worsen further.
He also said his daughter was paralyzed after Nashwa was put on a ventilator. She was on a ventilator for a week and after they removed her on Sunday morning she paralyzed.
He also claims due to wrong doses of medicines given to Nashwa by untrained hospital staff caused her condition to deteriorate to this level
The family moved Nashwa to another hospital located at National stadium road on Monday.

Treatment and Reports From Liaquat National Hospital
- The Liaquat National Hospital has added a panel of best physicians and experts who are constantly monitoring the health of Nashwa and trying their best to revive her condition.
- The hospital also conducted CT scan and MRI.
- The doctors have said Nashwa was administered drugs in a highly concentrated form in a short span of time. Her brain had suffered irreparable damage due to this negligence.
- The condition of the nine-month-old baby girl, Nashwa Ali, who is undergoing treatment at Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi worsened on Wednesday as doctors tried to save her life, doctors said.
Response From Sindh Government
- The Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, visited LNH on Wednesday. He met the parents of Nashwa and inquired about her health.
- He also assured full support for the family on behalf of Sindh Government.
- He also said the Provincial Government would bear expenses to send her anywhere in the world.
Medical experts claimed that due to wrong administration of Potassium Chloride Injection, Nashwa was resuscitated for at least for 45 minutes during which blood supply to her brain was suspended causing serious damage to her brain
FIR Against Darul Sehat Hospital
A case has been registered by the father of Nashwa Qaiser Ali
An FIR No 354/19 under the sections 324 and 337/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code which pertains to ‘attempt to murder’ and ‘negligence’, was registered against the administration of the Darul Sehat Hospital in Gulistan-e-Jauhar within the limits of the Sharea Faisal police station.

Nashwa’s Father shared his pain and sorrow on Facebook. He wrote
No one sleeps as much as Nashwa sleeps.
She never slept that much, she crawled and ran all over from here till there.
Now from eleven days, she sleeps all day and all night.
Only opens her eyes in severe pain, to give a message that she is in pain.
Oh, Allah, I am content with your wish, just ease Nashwa’s pain.

The Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC)
The father of the baby has also launched his complaint with The Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC). They too are conducting their investigation
The investigation committee of SHCC has submitted their report to the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on 18 April.
According to the SHCC report the Darul Sehat Hospital is held responsible for the deteriorating condition of Nashwa.

Amir Waliuddin Chishti Trying to Bribe the Father
According to sources the owner of Darul Sehat Hospital Amir Waliuddin Chisti went to Liaquat National Hospital to meet the father along with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader and another political personality.
It is also circulating that Amir Waliuddin Chisti tried to pressurize the father of Nishwa and said he is ready to pay a big amount if he withdraws the case.

The pain and suffering the family of Nashwa is going through doe to negligence of incompetent staff of Darul Sehat Hospital is immeasurable.
Till those responsible are held accountable for their crime, people of Karachi shout at least boycott the Darul Sehat Hospital. Do not take your loved one to this hospital.
