Justice For Uzma : 16 Years Old Maid Brutally Murdered

LAHORE: Uzma who was just 16 years old working as a maid is brutally murdered and dumped into nearby by drain. The nation has taken on to social media and demanding justice.

A woman and her daughter has been arrested for murdering their 16 year old domestic worker over a petty issue.

According to police report Uzma was murdered on January 18 and her body was dumped in a nearby drain in Iqbal Town Lahore.

Uzma crime was minor but she paid a very heavy price. She has only taken a bite of food from the daughter’s plate. This act infuriated the mother and she hit Uzma’s head with a metal plate several times killing her.

Abdul Ghafoor, the Iqbal Town DSP, also informed Uzma’s body was thrown into the drain and was accused of a theft. They also called her family to the police station to complain about the ‘theft’.

Reports have also emerged that Uzma was often beaten up and tortured in the house. She was working as a domestic worker since eight months and was never allowed to meet her parents nor allowed to speak on the phone.

The two culprits have been arrested by the police after the investigation.

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has twitted and informed that Minister Human Rights Shireen Mazari has taken immediate notice. SHO thana Iqbal Town was contacted – the three accused women arrested & FIR against them under section 302 of PPC- charged with murder. Police is doing all to help father of little Uzma. The three women are in jail presently

Senator Sherry Rehman also twitted and said in her tweet ”
This video needs to be investigated immediately. Where is this house where a young girl Uzma, was allegedly abused and killed by her employers? Human rights ministry needs to act right away. If any of this is true, the arrests must be made without delay. “
