In a tragic incident, at least seven passengers have died when a coach of the Karachi Express Train caught fire near Tando Masti Khan in Sindh’s Khairpur District on Thursday.
According to the Ministry of Railways, the train was heading from Karachi to Lahore when it met with an accident during the early hours of commute, which not only killed seven passengers but several went missing as well.
“Seven passengers, including three children, lost their lives while four others went missing when a passenger coach of the train caught,” the statement read.

The Karachi Express Train stopped near Tando Masti Khan Railway Station and the fire was extinguished. However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has ordered an inquiry into the tragic incident.
