KARACHI: At least six people have died and a further 16 injured from a boiler explosion at a factory in New Karachi Industrial Area on Tuesday.
The incident occurred inside an ice and cold storage factory according to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Moeenuddun.
According to the details, the building has been severely damaged by the explosion and also affected nearby factories in the area.
The roof of the Karachi factory saved in after the explosion and people are likely trapped under the rubble according to rescue officials.
Bystanders rushed to the site after the Karachi factory blast to help the affected as rescue teams arrived on the scene.
