Karachi police is launching a campaign against tinted glasses and fancy number plates according to a notification issued by the Additional inspector General Police.

According to the notification Karachi police will be taking action against tinted glasses and fancy number plates starting today (5 September) for the next 15 days.

The police have been instructed to establish at least one check point in each sub-division which will be manned by at least 8 police officials and 5 traffic police officials twice a day.
Checking against tinted glasses and fancy number plates will be carried out in two shifts:
- First checking from 11:00AM till 1:00PM
- Second checking from 5:00PM till 7:00PM.
Furthermore, the notification states that immediate action is to be taken against vendors fixing tinted sheets on vehicle’s windows and fancy number plates.
