The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) latest weather update has forecast more rain and thunderstorms in Karachi, Hyderabad, and other parts of Sindh on Saturday.
According to the PMD, a low-pressure area is currently present over the north Arabian Sea and nearby regions of southeast Sindh. This condition is expected to persist for the next 24 to 30 hours. Weak monsoon currents are moving into the upper and central parts of Pakistan, and a westerly wave is affecting the upper regions of the country.
Due to these weather conditions, more rain and thunderstorms are expected in Mithi, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Sajawal, Thatta, and Karachi on Friday evening and night.
On Saturday, hot and humid weather is expected in most areas of Sindh. However, rain and thunderstorms are likely in Mithi, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, and Badin. Light rain or drizzle may occur in the coastal districts of Sindh. Other areas will experience hot and humid weather.
Karachi’s maximum temperature is expected to be between 36-38°C on Saturday and 35-37°C on Sunday. Hyderabad will have a maximum temperature of 42-44°C on Saturday and 40-42°C on Sunday.
In the last 24 hours, Karachi and parts of Sindh experienced rain and thunderstorms of varying intensities.

Jacobabad recorded the highest temperature in Sindh at 43°C. Dadu, Mohenjo-Daro, and Sukkur reached a maximum temperature of 41°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature was 39°C with an evening humidity of 49%. In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was 37°C with an evening humidity of 55%.
