The Karachi Police has provided a detailed traffic plan for April 23, 2024, during the Iranian president’s visit to avoid any inconvenience to residents of the metropolis. According to the traffic plan, several roads across Karachi will be temporarily closed for traffic, however, the police have provided diversions and alternate routes for commuters.

According to the traffic plan, the following roads will remain closed:
- Club Road from PIDC to Metropole
- Dr. Ziauddin Road from Ziauddin Signal (Ziauddin Bridge) to PIDC Chowk
- Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Road from Khajoor Chowk to PIDC
- Numaish area around Mazar-e-Quaid
Diversions
However, the Karachi Police has provided diversions and alternate routes for commuters to avoid any inconvenience. According to the details, if you are driving from Sultanabad, you can go through PIDC, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road to Khajoor Chowk and turn onto Evacuee Trust House Road towards President’s House Road.
If you are heading back to Sultanabad from Shahrah-e-Faisal, you can take a left at Club Chowk, turn left again at Clifton Bridge, Boat Basin, and continue to your destination. However, as for the traffic coming from Khaliq-uz-Zaman Road and Ghizri, you can turn right at Ziauddin Light Signal, turn left at Hoshan Chowk towards Metropole. Fountain Chowk, and Aiwan-e-Sadr Road.
Meanwhile, the traffic from Shaheen Complex will turn right at Khajoor Chowk towards Aiwan-e-Sadr Road, Metropole, Clifton, and other areas.

Furthermore, the Sindh Government has declared a public holiday in Karachi with all offices and educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, to remain closed during Iranian president’s visit to the metropolis.
