After a heavy spell of monsoon rain in Lahore and other parts of the country, the citizens of Karachi are likely to get relief from hot weather with the first monsoon rain by Friday (7 July 2023).
The port city has been experiencing extremely hot weather for almost a week but Pakistan Meteorological Department has stated that the first spell of monsoon rains will likely hit Karachi by the end of the week.
Furthermore, the first spell of monsoon rain in Karachi will likely continue until July 11 and provide a much needed relief to the citizens amid the sweltering hot weather being experienced in the metropolis.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Sindh Chief Meteorologist, Sardar Sarfaraz, the winds under the monsoon system, which are currently present over India, are likely to enter Sindh on the night of July 6 or morning of July 7.
He added that the intensity of heat will subside in the metropolis from tomorrow with a drop of 1-2 degrees Celsius.
