The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said Karachi is expected to receive heavy rain this weekend (April 13 and 14), as per the weather update. PMD also added that places like Sukkur and Larkana in Sindh might be expected to get heavy rainfall in the coming days.
According to the Karachi weather update, a series of westerly winds from the west have been affecting the north of the country, and these winds are now moving towards the south and east. They will bring more rain to these areas, according to the Met Office.
The PMD says Karachi will be hot and humid for the next 24 hours, with the temperature going up to 36°C. Right now, the air humidity is at 75%, and the wind is blowing at 11 kilometers per hour from the west.
Weather expert Jawad Memon had already said that there would be rain in many parts of the country from April 13 or 14 because of these westerly winds. He also said that there might be more rain than usual in April.
