KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced that Karachi will experience drizzle and light rain later today. This follows their earlier prediction of a temperature increase in the city.
A new monsoon spell is set to affect Sindh, including Karachi, starting July 18 or 19. Although the city saw scattered showers earlier this week, residents continue to endure sweltering heat.
Currently, a sea breeze at 18 kilometers per hour offers some relief, with temperatures expected to peak between 34°C to 36°C. The minimum temperature recorded stands at 30.5°C.
Despite ruling out another heatwave, the PMD warns that temperatures will rise over the next few days, reaching up to 37°C to 38°C. This aligns with weather expert Jawad Memon’s forecast, predicting a temperature increase of up to 3°C from tomorrow.
