He recommended that ASI Muhammad Bux Buriro should be awarded with the Quaid-i-Azam Police Medal while his daughter be given the highest civil award for her role in the alleged rapist’s arrest.
A woman was lured from Karachi with a job offer in Kashmore and upon arrival, the woman and her daughters were taken to the suspect’s house where they were gang-raped for three days.
The woman was later released by the alleged rapists who kept the four-year-old Alisha as hostage and asked the mother to come back with another woman from Karachi.
However, the woman gathered enough courage and reached the Kashmore police station and asked for help at which point, ASI Muhammad Bux Buriro acted quickly and used his own daughter as bait to raid the house of the main accused identified as Rafique Malak and take him under custory.
Malak has confessed to the crime during interrogation before the police and a case has been registered against him under section 7ATA.
