The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has announced the reopening of schools in five more districts after a decline in the COVID-19 positivity ratio.
According to the notification issued by the concerned authorities, all public and private schools will be reopening in the following KP districts:
- Bannu
- Charsadda
- Haripur
- Nowshera
- Swabi
The notification urged everyone to strictly follow COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by health authorities.

It bears mentioning that the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) has allowed reopening of schools in districts with a coronavirus positivity ratio of less than 5 percent.
Meanwhile, the provincial governments will make their own decision regarding matric and intermediate exam dates and summer vacations.
