Peshawar : 10 persons were killed and scores injured on Tuesday as triple blasts occurred in Shamah cinema on Pajlaki road.
According to rescue sources, multiple explosions occurred during a movie show in the cinema.
On receiving information, rescue teams reached the site and shifted the wounded persons to Lady Reading Hospital for medical treatment and emergency has been imposed and additional staff was urgently summoned.
The rescue sources fear the number of casualties may rise.
While talking to media, Peshawar CCPO Aijaz Khan said that Chinese made grenades were used in the blasts.
Hospital sources said that 25 persons have been brought in to the hospital.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has strongly condemned the attacks. In his statement, he said that the attacks are an attempt to sabotage peace process.
Eye witnesses said that during the time of the blasts, approximately 100 people were watching the show in the cinema hall.
