ISLAMABAD – LaMontana Restaurant, a beloved dining establishment known for its excellent traditional Pakistani cuisine and hospitality, will close its doors on September 11, 2024. This decision comes in compliance with an order from the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Having served the community for 25 years, LaMontana has been a favorite among locals, foreign missions, and international guests. The restaurant’s closure marks the end of an era of culinary excellence and warm hospitality that began in 1999.
In an emotional statement, the LaMontana administration expressed their profound regret: “We feel sorry for our employees, whose families’ dependency was linked with us since 1999, and is now being terminated with one month’s notice.” The restaurant’s closure will impact not only the employees but also their families, who have relied on this source of livelihood for decades.
The management also extended their apologies to their loyal customers and dedicated staff: “We apologize to our guests and employees for having to take this hard and shocking decision.” This closure will result in significant job losses for the employees and a financial loss of 1 billion Rupees for the owners.
