The government has decided to raise the petrol prices in Pakistan for the next fortnight, from 1 July 2024 to 15 July 2024. According to the details, the price of both petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased from midnight.
According to the notification, the petrol price has been increase by Rs. 7.45 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been jacked up by Rs. 9.55 per litre. This brings the new price of petrol at Rs. 265.61 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) will be sold at Rs. 277.45 per litre.

The latest diesel and petrol prices in Pakistan will be applicable from midnight on 1 July 2024 for the second first half of the month.
It is pertinent to mention that the government has increased the petroleum levy from Rs. 60 to Rs. 70, an increment of Rs. 10, in the federal budget for the fiscal year 2024-25.
Earlier, it was reported that government plans to hike the price of petrol by Rs. 7 per litre, while price of high-speed diesel was expected to rise by Rs. 11 per litre. However, the Finance Minister, Muhammad Aurangzeb, clarified earlier today that the increased petroleum levy was not being imposed immediately.
In the last fortnightly review, the government reduced the petrol price in Pakistan by Rs. 10.20 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was slashed by Rs. 2.33 per litre.
