In a significant development, hundreds of allottees in Lahore Development Authority (LDA) City are set to receive possession of their plots after an enduring 11-year wait.
The decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by Commissioner Lahore and LDA DG Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The beneficiaries in LDA City’s Jinnah Sector C Block will receive physical possession, with over 1,500 allottees in the initial phase. The plots range from 5 to 10 marlas and one to two kanals.
C Block, spanning 1,200 kanals, features amenities like parks, a sports complex, a cricket stadium, and more. The completion of the Chenab Road Bridge structure and ongoing finishing work were reported, along with progress on the facilitation center. An award is set for the acquisition of the remaining land in Jinnah Sector.
Commissioner Lahore, addressing a longstanding issue, stated that LDA City allottees’ concerns have been successfully addressed per the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab’s instructions. The meeting, attended by key officials, reflects a concerted effort to bring relief to allottees after years of anticipation.
