The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced an important update regarding the price of three-phase meters for new general connections. Starting on July 1, 2024, the cost for new three-phase meters will increase, and they will be replaced with advanced three-phase AMI meters.
According to LESCO, the price of three-phase meter will increase from Rs. 33,500 to Rs. 63,450 and t he new rates will be effective from July 1, 2024. Furthermore, the traditional three-phase meters will be replaced with the newer three-phase Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters.

Advance Metering Infrastructure or AMI meters are modern, digital devices that offer several benefits over traditional meters:
