The Lahore Hight Court (LHC) on Thursday granted bail to Hamza Shehbaz for the Ramzan Sugar Mill case.
Justice Mazhar Ali Naqvi headed a two member bench of the LHC that conducted the hearing into the case both Hamza and his father Shehbaz Sharif were indicted last year on 9 April, 2020.
A Reference against the two was filed by Hamza Shehbaz and his father by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) alleging that Shehbaz Sharif had misused his authority by using public funds to construct a bridge that facilitated the Ramzan Mills which was owned by his sons.

According to NAB, this resulted in a loss of Rs. 213 million to the national exchequer.
Hazma Shehbaz was earlier granted pre-arrest bail by LHC on April 17, 2019 which meant that he could not be arrested in any cases pertaining to ownership of assests beyond his means until further notice.
Hamza Shehbaz was also instructed to submit bail bonds worth Rs. 10 million at the time.
The court will now hear the bail petition in the money laundering case on 11 February, 2020.
