In a bid to address environmental and traffic concerns, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has announced hefty fines on home car washing and wrong parking.
According to the details, a fine of Rs. 3,000 has been implemented for home car washing, while Rs. 5,000 will be fined for wrong parking in the city.
The decision comes as part of the ongoing hearing related to controlling the problem of smog in the provincial capital.
The fines that will be collected will contribute to funds of the Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) and will support other water-related initiatives.
Additionally, the Judicial Water Commission has suggested that individuals failing to wear helmets while riding motorcycles should be fined at Rs. 2,000.
