Shehbaz Sharif said that Nawaz was in critical condition and plagued with a complex and multiple diseases.
According to some sources, Nawaz Sharif was unable to undergo surgery because of his daughter’s absence.
The news reported this in such a way that it made the statement feel as if Nawaz Sharif himself rejected treatment because of Maryam’s absence although this was rejected by senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah according to a Dunya News report.
Sanaullah said that this was not the case and the government was just making stuff up and said that the government is taking political revenge against opposition and the medical board formed to review reports of Nawaz Sharif was not doing its job properly.
Right now, the date for 18th of February has been set by Lahore High Court (LHC) to hear the plea of Maryam Nawaz regarding removal of her name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
