ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan while addressing the Corona Relief Tiger Force said that lockdown in Pakistan will be gradually eased in the coming days to mitigate the economic impact on the people.
According to the Prime Minister, standard operating protocols (SOPs) have been prepared by government for all business sectors that will have to be strictly adhered. The premier said:
We need to lift the lockdown so that people can get jobs. But we have to be careful because all of our efforts will go in vain if people don’t take precautionary measures.

He told the Corona Relief Tiger Force that their duty will be to go to union councils and publicise the directives given by the government.
The Prime Minister also said that the Corona Relief Tiger Force volunteers will have to maintain a balance between saving people from the virus and also unemployment and hunger.
The volunteer force will help register people for the Ehsaas Program’s second phase as the premier said:
Volunteers will have to register all those that have lost their jobs due to the lockdown at their respective union councils. Not everyone can register themselves so that is where the force will come in.
Also, it will be the duty of the volunteers to monitor the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program and also keep an eye out for hoarding. If they come across such an incident, they need to report it so that action will be taken.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza also said that there are over 17,000 people from the medical community who have registered for the Corona Relief Tiger Force.
Dr Zafar Mirza also said that the duration of how long the virus will last is unknown and everyone will need to play their role and the medical professional will be given specific roles to help with the pandemic.
The PM’s aide said:
Doctors will also volunteer for telehealth initiatives so that they can give advice to patients over the phone,
