The National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) has made M-TAG mandatory for traveling on the country’s extensive motorway network from Tuesday (February 6, 2024). According to the details, the decision has been taken to enhance motorist convenience by eliminating long queues at tolling stations on the entrance and exit points of motorways.
Therefore, the M-TAG will be required to access the motorways like Peshawar-Islamabad-Lahore Motorway (M1), Pindi Bhattian-Multan Motorway (M4), Hakla-D.I. Khan Motorway (M14), Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway (M3), Multan-Sukkur Motorway (M5), and Hassanabdal-Mansehra Expressway (E35).
If you require an M-TAG, you can visit any One Network Customer Care Center with your vehicle and required documents. It is pertinent to mention that National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) and the National Highway Authority (NHA) have issued several advisories to motorists during the last few weeks, ensuring ample time was given to comply with the new requirement.
