The Mansehra to Thakot motorway has been completed and will be operational for traffic very soon according to the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting and Chairman China – Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt General (retired) Asim Saleem Bajwa.
The Chairman CPEC Authority shared the news via twitter where he wrote, “Mansehra – Thakot Motorway construction work by NHA / Ministry of Communication completed and will be open for traffic very soon. Most amazing drive it will be.”
He also shared a picture of the newly constructed motorway showing an amazing and beautiful view.
The new motorway is part of the Hazara Motorway project which is 180 kilometer long and the Burhan to Mansehra section is already open for traffic. The motorway further links Haripur, Havelian, Abbotabad, Thakot, Shinkiari, Battagram.
