A matriculation student, a 17-year-old girl, abducted from Shadbagh area of Lahore was rescued from Pakpattan, while two accused, Abid and Ilyas, have been taken into custody by Punjab Police.
It is pertinent to mention that Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) had directed Inspector-General (IG) Punjab and CCPO Lahore to rescue the kidnapped student by 10PM.
The 17-year-old girl was a student of class 10th (matric) and she was abducted at gunpoint in broad daylight from Shadbagh area of Lahore this morning.
According to the police, the girl was returning home with her brother after attending her matric exam when four armed kidnappers abducted the student at gunpoint and taking her in a white car.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has promised to bring justice to the girl and the accused to be severely punished.
